Southern Chic Frenchie Chateau puppies are all whelped and raised with our family indoors (never in a cage) while being heavily socialized and pre-spoilt! We utilize both ENS and Rules of 7 to promote healthy social skills beginning on day 2! Each puppy will come with a detailed contract, UTD worming/vaccination record from our Vet, a one year limited health guarantee, a puppy treat bag to take home as well as lifetime breeder support for each and every puppy we produce. We believe that pet homes make the best homes, therefore, the majority of our puppies are only available with limited registration

If you decide on a puppy, we require a non-refundable retaining fee deposit. We also offer our wait list breeding reservation on future litters for a fee as well. Both options are non-refundable but transferrable in most cases. Shipping may be provided via our puppy nanny thru ground or air transport at an additional fee. From time to time we are able to meet buyers half way depending on locale. Puppy fee and trip fee are to be paid in full before puppy ever leaves our home. For the health and safety of our Frenchies and our Family we do not allow pick up at our home. Disease protocol as well as bad intentions are the reason we have chosen this method. Our pricing for each litter is different based on color DNA and lineage varying from $3500 pet home on a standard litter up to $20,000 on a full rights fluffy carrier. So we ask again for you to do your due diligence prior to inquiring about certain dna

Of course you are here because you are smitten with the French Bulldog! They are the class clown of all breeds! Constant circus acts that are adored for their sweet nature, silly greetings, constant kisses, athleticism, snorts, vocal ranges, and last but not least gas! (Not truly loved but definitely comical!) Here are a few answers to our most common questions pertaining to care of our French!!
Let’s talk food for our hungry hippos...Our pups are on a mix of Taste of the Wild Ancient grains so that we introduce a variety of proteins. We mix Mountain stream & Ancient Mountain. We also add raw or cooked beef and soak the kibble in warm water to soften a bit. We will continue this while with us and recommend you do the same and slowly taper over the first 2-3weeks. Yes they have teeth and can chew hard kibble but for me this guarantees them a little more hydration, a little less chance of aspirating/choking and they are still babies so we let them be! We are also firm believers in maintaining gut health, therefore, we recommend probiotics offered at feedings.
Let's talk potty training...First and foremost patience and repetition are key!! Every one has their own methods whether it be crate training or turf or puppy pads. We will share what works for us but ultimately you have to do what works for your climate, your family dynamics & lifestyle, and overall schedule. We use turf in our pen to simulate grass, we use bells on all doors they enter and exit, we do crazy cheerleader praising when they potty outside, and we also very lightly discourage accidents indoors because you do not want them becoming fearful of you.
Let's talk resting/bedtime... They are very identical to children...its all about routines being set in place. A tired puppy is generally an unhappy puppy that can get very overstimulated and agitated. They need their sleep to grow. Our babies are used to sleeping thru the night and never wake us up. Now with that said they have a snuggle buddy currently so for many puppies they do get scared and lack a warm body present so they may not be as perfect. We will send blankies with familiar smells. Please be mindful of drafts. If in a crate it is best to have all sides covered to make them feel more secure. You can also reward your puppies for going into their crates with a safe treat. We recommend freeze dried toppers from Stella & Chewy!
Let's talk bathing...We recommend using "puppy"safe shampoos until 4 months of age as needed. During bathing heads and specifically faces should NEVER be subjected to water flow or allowed to tip into water. Frenchies are flat faced and will aspirate!!!! Use a damp rag only to clean faces & ears.
Let's talk toys & treats... We DO NOT recommend Nyla bone products, Greenies or any other artificial chemical laiden chew toy. We have had success with benebones size appropriate to pup, kongs with treats, puzzle style toys that release treats, bully sticks, freeze dried meat/fish treats and few other limited ingredient treats. Stuffed toys are great until they are NOT! Each puppy is different as far as chewing and tearing up. No toys are actually guaranteed safe to be left with puppies unsupervised due to choking and swallowing hazards.
Let's talk teething...puppies chew!! They will put everything in their mouths including electrical cords, fallen foods, little fingers & noses, and toes while walking half asleep in need of coffee! You must puppy proof your homes, train them and be very careful what is dropped for them to eat ((grapes, chocolate and any artificial sweeteners are highly toxic!!))We encourage puppies to learn softness of their mouths by saying “No” and/or squealing, and pushing our nails into their tongues/gums while they bite.
Let's talk vaccinations & preventatives...Our pups will leave us with the first 2 vaccinations series and necessary worming protocols completed. We DO NOT vaccinate for bordetella, lepto, lyme, or flu. This is a very personal choice yes...BUT if choose otherwise it voids your health contracts with us. There have been too many adverse reactions including death. We use Heartgard and/or Proheart for heartworm prevention. We opt for holistic flea & tick sprays instead of the marketed topicals and pills. We feel these are the safest for our fur children!
A few other pieces of info for you...We recommend harnesses not collars, we recommend cute frenchie clothes, we recommend spoiling your babies, we DO NOT recommend allowing them to jump on and off any couch or object, we DO NOT recommend them going to doggy day cares until after 8 months or not at all, we DO NOT recommend dog parks ever! But especially be mindful that your babies are only on round 2 of their vaccination schedule and are not protected from all the diseases out there until after all vaccinations and booster are completed. Thats means neighbors dogs & yards, parks, doggy shops, and any other heavily trafficked areas. You would be putting them at risk...Just carry them around to show them off! We also believe EVERY pup should start training as soon as receptive to learn the very fundamentals like...sit, stay, come, shake, lay, leave it, no bite, be easy, etc. a working brain is a happy brain!

A:Our litters are raised upstirs in our home in a puppy nursery. We want to simulate a cozy den during the first few weeks. We slowly integrate puppies to our heavy traffic flow downstairs areas in phases while gradually increasing their pen size based on potty training needs.
Q:Can we visit our puppy prior to pick up?
A: We do not allow home visits or pick ups at our home due to cross contamination concerns. We can not risk the wellbeing of our babies.
Q:How have you begun potty training?
A:We start at 3wks of age with our potty trays that have grass pellets to smel like the outdoors.
Q:How often do we feed our new puppy?
A:We encourage you to feed 3x daily until 6 months, then 2x daily until 1 year then you can switch to once a day if preferred.
Q:Can I switch to another puppy food?
A:Puppy should remain on the current food and feeding schedules to encourage a successful happy transition for at least 6 wks. If you decide to switch foods, please make sure it is puppy food and to do slowly.
Q:Do you recommend our puppy sleep in a crate?
A:Your new puppy will be accustomed to sleeping in pen not a crate. You can gradually crate train by adding crate into pen.
Q:When should we spay/neuter our puppy?
A: Studies show to do after one year of age is best. We do not recommend before.
Q:What do you recommend for chew toys?
A: Some of our favorites are Benebones, Kongs, bullysticks, antlers
Q:How can I help my puppy slow down while eating?
A:We recommend a slow feeder bowl or a puzzle type toy food dispenser
Q:How long does it take to potty train?
A:This greatly varies for each individual dog and routines put into place by you
Q:Can we switch to full breeding rights?
A: We are open to discuss this after a dog is over one year of age. We will require health testing, vetting records, proof dog is of sound breeding quality, price differential paid, and a full mentorship.
Q:Which treats do you recommend?
A:We feed all natural treats like stella & chewy or home cooked meats
Q:How often should puppy be bathed & which shampoo do you use?
A:Roughly no more than every 2wks unless otherwise needed. We currently use Wags & Wiggles Double Trouble wild watermelon or Natures Specialties Pawpin Blueberry.
Q:How often do puppies need shots & when are they finished with puppy shots?
A:Your new puppy will need a series of 3-4 sets of vaccinations which is done every 3 wks until puppy is 16wks. Puppy will have had 1st set and 2nd while with us.
Q:What can we do about our puppy biting too hard?
A:We recommend pushing you finger nail directly into the gum while puppy bites your hands as to let puppy know it will be unpleasant and to replace with a toy as often as possible.
